A child so tiny and in distress
From birth had to struggle for life or death
A Mother's Love helped her to succeed
To live her life more abundantly

Child of Mine sitting on my knee
   Let me rock you tenderly
While on Butterfly wings you fly
To the Saviour in the Sky

As she gained her strength each day
Her heart grew weaker to my dismay
"Heaven" was sent down from above
To teach us patience, goodness and love
The joy of life as she turned three
Brought me to prayer and on my knees
Begging pardon from the Lord, once more
To save "my Baby" from Heaven's door

We faced each day our hope renewed
Thru tears and laughter as she grew
To see her smile, run and play
We thanked the Lord every day

Child of Mine sitting on my knee
   Let me rock you tenderly
While on Butterfly wings you fly
To the Saviour in the Sky

The day we dreaded, came in June
The sun came up, though we felt doom
Quietly.. she lay in my arms that day
My tears streaming freely upon her face
For "Heaven's " call was now in place
Gone from this world into the next

I Love you my BABY ---You are the Best!!

CHILD OF MINE SITTING ON MY KNEE
   LET MY ROCK YOU TENDERLY
WHILE ON BUTTERFLY WINGS YOU FLY ............
